Our company fulfills the obligations resulting from the use of natural environment with the particular care and due diligence. Constant improvement of processes and action guarantees not only a high quality of products, but also respect for the natural environment. The level of dust and gasses emission is controlled by constant monitoring. Analysis of these measurements shows that the influence of plants on the environment through gas and dust emission is reduced to a minimum and does not constitute a threat for the nature.

Trzuskawica S.A. is basing its production activity on keeping good neighbourly relations with local community. We organise conferences concentrated on issues of the environmental protection, open days. We help students and pupils to write theses about the widely comprehended environmental protection. We enable to do student practices and internships at our plants as well as we fund scholarships. The sustainable development is a crucial value for our company, therefore we adhere to the highest standards of the management of environmental protection. We possess the consolidated and regularly verified management systems, including best practices adopted in the industry.

Water and sewage management system

Water and sewage management system is a priority of activity of the European Community, resulting from reduced water resources and disproportionate, exaggerated water consumption and emission of sewage.

The important part of the area concerning the environmental protection is the strategy in the water and sewage management system realized by TRZUSKAWICA S.A.

Regulations on the water consumption and use of water as well as production and discharge of sewage and tests (parameters) are defined by legislative regulations (acts, regulations), as well as duties imposed by the Marshal Office of Świętokrzyskie in the water permit.

Water is usually used for:

  • existence purposes (water used to drink and for sanitary purposes of stuff-employees),

  • industrial purposes (technological, production, in cold storage purposes),

  • other purposes (ordinal, pouring roads and squares, and the like).

Sewage – introduced to waters or ground:

  • consumed waters, in particular for existence purposes,

  • draining waters from landfill sites and objects of disposal of exploratory wastes,

  • waters used for industrial purposes,

  • waters coming from dehydration of mining plants,

  • rainwaters or meltwaters.

Water examinations (drinking water, industrial water) and drained sewage are made according to the imposed duties arising from the water permit. Analysis of drinking water allows to judge whether it’s clean and healthy and check whether its consumption isn’t threatening the life or health of people as well as isn’t adversely affecting the environment. Tests of drained sewage allow to control quality parameters.

Waste management

Waste management should be kept in a way that is protecting the life and health of people and environment. In particular, waste management cannot:

  • cause risk to water, air, soil, plants or animals;
  • cause the nuisance through the noise or smell;
  • cause adverse effects for the countryside or places about special meaning, including cultural and natural ones.

The following hierarchy of the course of action with waste is implemented:

  1. preventing development of waste;
  2. preparing for the reuse;
  3. recycling;
  4. other processes of recycling;
  5. neutralizing.

According to the applicable law, duties resulting from the decision of the Marshal Office of Świętokrzyskie and decree of the President of the Management Board of TRZUSKAWICA S.A., one should store the produced waste in a selective way, in places assigned for this purpose, appropriately marked (inscription/code of waste) and protected against the access of outsiders.

Noise emissions to the environment

The principles concerning the environmental protection against the noise including the requirements for the environmental sustainability are defined by an act from 27 April 2001 Environmental law.

The concept of noise is defined by the act mentioned above – it constitutes sounds of frequency from 16 Hz to 16 000 Hz, understood as pulses spreading in the air in form of a sound waves about the frequency and strength creating the nuisance for people and environment. The value of the level of this sound is measured in decibels (dB).

Regulations on the noise emission to the environment are defined by legislative regulations and duties imposed on TRZUSKAWICA S.A. by the Marshal Office of Świętokrzyskie in the integrated permit. The protection from noise consists in assuring the best state of acoustic of the environment, in particular by keeping the level of noise below acceptable or at least on this level. TRZUSKAWICA S.A. is carrying out measurements and is fulfilling the value of permissible sound levels in eight test points according to the integrated permit during night and day.
