General Characteristics:
Lime meal is a product obtained by grinding limestone to the required grain size. Its main ingredient is calcium carbonate CaCO3. If properly ground, it is highly reactive and easier to absorb in the soil.
Application:
In addition to their use in the construction industry, lime meals, or finely ground parts of limestone rock, are also excellent for use in agriculture. They are used to deacidify the soil; they regulate the pH, are useful in the storage of vegetables and fruits, and can be an additive to forage to supplement calcium deficiencies.
Application Benefits:
- product of all-natural origin (limestone rock); can be used in organic farming,
- deacidifies the soil, which contributes to better crop yields,
- enriches the soil with the calcium needed for better plant growth and development,
- reduces uptake of heavy metals by plants,
- enables plants to take up nutrients,
- makes plants more resilient to drought stress,
- protects plants from frost,
- prevents spoilage of vegetables and fruits – an important feature in storage.
Sustainable Production:
The production of a wide variety of aggregate fractions allows us to prepare lime meals used not only in construction, but also in agriculture in the broadest sense. The process involves grinding material from our mine to the appropriate fraction.
Standards:
The product complies with PN-EN 13242 – Aggregates for unbound and hydraulically bound materials used in civil engineering and road construction.
